Come on in, the water’s fine

Jump
in the shark infested waters
bleeding.

Jump
into the fire
pouring gasoline
on your clothes,

Come
lay down on the tracks.
The freight train
will be here
shortly.

Blow out your candle
and enter the dark cave.

That clear pathway
will lead you nowhere.
Walk
through
that thorny thicket instead.

Let go
of the branch you are holding onto and
fall.

Stop running
and lance that boil.
Why let it fester?

Walk
bare chested on the battlefield
and see
if the arrows
can fly through you.

Let go
and let
your heart break.
